Where Luxury Meets Contemporary

Modern Glamour in San Francisco: A Townhome Transformed

In the heart of San Francisco, we were tasked with reinventing our clients' recently purchased townhome. The residence, while boasting potential, had been redone in builder-grade materials, leaving an unfulfilled canvas waiting for a touch of personalized glamour. Our clients' vision was clear—to infuse their new home with a distinct and luxurious style that would resonate with their personalities. The home lacked adequate storage space, so we needed to create spaces that were not just beautiful but also functional, maximizing utility without compromising on aesthetics.

In the pursuit of modern luxury, we were also committed to making the most of the available space. Every room was planned to minimize clutter while maximizing usability. Clever storage solutions were integrated seamlessly into the design, ensuring that each room served multiple purposes, and no square foot was wasted.

Throughout the project, we embraced the bold design of custom artwork to make a statement in each corner. In the stairwell, a striking blue geometric painting commands attention, adding an unexpected addition to the space. In the living room, a high-contrast abstract geometric painting adds the perfect level of contrast to a previously bare wall.

The open concept living and dining room harmonizes with cohesive wood finishes across the custom media console, coffee table, and dining table, as well as textured gray fabrics, and subtle brass accents. A captivating feature is the wall adorned with floor-to-ceiling ripplefold drapes, transforming a plain expanse of doors and windows into the room's focal point. A sheer fabric with an undertone of green adds depth and color to the room’s neutral palette. Bold black and white accents such as the dining chairs and the throw pillows nod to each other within the two spaces.

The dining room used to be underutilized, feeling cramped with a smaller dining table and six chairs in a traditional layout. To optimize the space, we introduced a long built-in banquette that seamlessly blended with the kitchen cabinetry, offering added storage and more seating. This banquette also allowed us to incorporate a larger dining table and additional chairs, making the room feel more spacious. The brass chandelier added a touch of glamour to the rustic white oak dining table, while the black and white dining chairs created a subtle yet striking contrast.

The kitchen exudes drama and warmth with rich walnut wood cabinets. Black edge pulls seamlessly match the dining chairs, while dark velvet counter stools introduce a striking contrast. The addition of the textured ceramic tile backsplash softens the modern elements, and the playful pendant lights create a unique statement, setting them apart from the dining room chandelier.

In the primary bedroom, a stunning Holly Hunt grasscloth wallpaper sets the stage for a custom storage bed upholstered in a Rogers & Goffigan's nubby fabric. The bed was also designed with convenient storage drawers. Complementing the room's warmth, ash wood nightstands are adorned with brass knobs for a touch of glamour. Italian brass sconces offer directional lighting and harmonize beautifully with the sculptural ceiling light.

While the bathroom remained untouched since the home’s purchase, we brought warmth to the space through custom accents and earthy elements. In the stairwell on the way to primary bedroom, a stunning ombre painting breathes life, with a built-in bench providing another moment for storage and a spot to enjoy the view.
